Dr. Latisha Reeves Henry

Dr. Latisha helped to pioneer ministry opportunities for women as the first licensed and ordained female preacher in the history of her home church in Knoxville, TN She served as the first staff Minister of Missions and Evangelism and the first woman to serve in pastoral leadership as the former Interim Pastor.

She has spoken and facilitated workshops and participated on intercession teams in Burkina Faso and Nigeria, West Africa, Wiesbaden, Germany, and Kenya in East Africa. She has been featured in Knoxville print and visual media with a message of hope and overcoming obstacles. Latisha served as keynote speaker for Knoxville’s annual TTOPS Conference for teen parents sponsored by the Knox County Health Dept. and panelist for the Pajamas and Positivity community health education outreach effort to local colleges sponsored by Florida Dept. of Health.

Latisha is the founder of Dare2B U and author of “Dare to Be You: Phenomenal Evolution,” her story of triumph over the barriers of teen-pregnancy, domestic violence, and the personal pitfalls of surrounding yourself with negativity. In the spirit of sisterhood, Dr. Reeves Henry has co-authored several other published works with dynamic women clergy, speakers and coaches.

She is proud mother to Shavada, married to Dr. Avery C. Henry, member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., holds a B.A. in psychology from Knoxville College, studied missions, evangelism & theology to earn her Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and earned her Doctor of Ministry degree focusing on Prophetic Preaching to Develop Community Centered Ministry in the faith community from United Theological Seminary.
