JULY NEWS
Celebrate your liberty in Christ. It can never be redacted, changed, altered nor legislated, denied by anyone. Jesus Christ finished the work that is truly freedom for all who believe no matter the color of your skin, your socio-economic status, gender or title. Let freedom ring because whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
THANK YOU!
We just concluded our first Book Club Bible Study of Dare to Be You: Phenomenal Evolution written by yours truly. Thank you for making it a great time of transparency and sharing from heart to heart.
Command Your Day: Wake Up Like You Mean It
How did you start your day today?
Too often, we’re not great at waking up or getting ourselves going in the right direction. We hit the snooze button on our alarm, usually more than once or twice. As a result, we sleep longer than we intend and spend the morning rushing around just trying to get ourselves ready, huddle our families and dash out the door. That’s not a good start to a great day. It doesn’t set a very good tone nor is it a healthy way to care for you.
How can you improve your morning considerably, and still take care of yourself?
You start by establishing the morning routine. Getting up at a set time, decide before you begin that you are going to command your day. We make the choice about the attitude and outlook we desire to have. Set the intention for the day you plan to have. Exercise, eating right, and even doing something for yourself such as meditating on an inspirational devotional or scripture, journaling, or affirmations will give you a start which sets you up for success.
Now it would be foolish to imply that we can control every variable, situation, and circumstance that life will throw our way. We cannot! Life be out here “life-ing” every single day without fail. We can’t control that, but we can be prepared by fortifying our faith and fixing our gaze on our God, through Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith. We can have the assurance that there is nothing that can come up that God cannot handle. The key is being intentional in how you begin and the way you move throughout your day. The rest will follow. The book of Genesis reveals God’s intentionality as Creator, let’s follow the example to be intentional each day to create the life we desire.
